PARKING:

For parking you have two options.

CAMPUS CENTER GARAGE: The easiest place to park is at the Campus Center Garage. Unfortunately there is a fee but the nice thing about parking here is that it is directly connected to the building that the competition is being held in. There are some signs for this building once you are on campus, but you can get a map here as well as using this address in MapQuest:
91 Campus Center Way
Amherst, MA 01003

LOT PARKING
: There are certain free on-campus lots during weekends. You can park in any space that is not marked as a special reserved space. This is advised if you are willing to walk a little bit and feel comfortable following a map to get to the Student Union. For a map of these parking lots Click Here. Keep in mind that the map is coded for weekdays, and that you can park in the after 5pm lots on Sundays.

GETTING TO CAMPUS CENTER AND STUDENT UNION BALLROOM:
FROM CAMPUS CENTER GARAGE:
This is the easiest way. Once parked in the garage you want to proceed to Level 2 where there is a "To Campus Center" sign somewhere. Once you find the door, you will walk through a long hallway to the other end where there is a glass door. Proceed through this and you will be in the Campus Center. Immediately go right and follow the hall way down. You will see a FedEx on your right and an arcade type place at the end of the hallway. You will also see signs for the Student Union Ballroom. Proceed to the right down the next hallway just before the arcade. Follow this hallway until it ends, and proceed to the left down the next hallway. This hallway opens up, and immediately on your right will be the UMass Craft Center and stairs. Proceed up the stairs and when you come to the top, turn around and go straight into the back of the building. The competition is held in the Ball Room there which is a big room hard to miss in the buiding. We will have people set up to help guide from 9:00-9:30 am. We will try to have signs up to help direct people there as well. But feel free to ask around if you do get lost. It can be confusing and the people around the area should know what room you are talking about.

FROM ONE OF THE VARIOUS LOTS: Again this can be tricky if you are unfamiliar with the campus since this is a rather big school. But if you feel up to it you can give it a try. The campus center which is attached to it is very large and people commonly call it the "waffle" building because of its unusual design. A picture of it can be found by Clicking Here. Best thing to do is probably use your map from the Lot Parking and navigate across campus to it. Ask anybody that you see. Chances are that they will know where the Campus Center is. If you've entered through the main entrance the Blue Wall will be on your left. Walk down the main chamber until you see the UStore on your right, then take a left, and follow the instructions above from the glass door. Again we will try to have signs up to help navigate.

If you have any questions feel free to email me at MAStates@gmail.com
If you get really lost somewhere on campus my cell phone number is 413-374-8619 but please use this as a last resort. There are maps across campus, and the building should be quite visable from wherever you park. Every student (and most faculty) should be able to give you directions. Good luck and can't wait to see everyone there!!!!
